Paws Place is a nonprofit no-kill sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of dogs. On October 1oth we joined them in celebrating 15 years of the best in no kill sheltering by hosting a capital fundraiser party named “Raise the Ruff.” All proceeds from Raise the Ruff will be used to replace the existing outdoor facility with an indoor sanctuary that serves Wilmington, Southport and the surrounding areas. This new, world-class facility will shelter dogs from the elements; reduce stress on the dogs, staff and volunteers and reduce our operating expenses. It was a beautiful evening featuring music, stories about the adorable puppies they care for everyday and a silent auction. Please enjoy these pictures of the event!
